• Lomas de Lachay***

Beautiful natural place that includes more than 52.000 hectares composed of deserts and vegetation, product of the natural phenomena that follow one after the other. Between July and September, the winds and the drizzle allow the bud of vegetal species which serve as sustenance for the regional animals.

More than 96 vegetal species are located in this beautiful refuge from where we can mention different plants, trees, shrubs, cactaceous and herbaceous. The great variety of animals is amazing: 55 species of birds like owls, the perdiz, and the american kestrel; 250 species of insects; 12 of mammals like the fox of the coast, the zorrino, the Andean mouse and the vizcacha; 7 species of reptiles and 5 of snails.

Enjoy the impressive landscape of the lachay Hill is a pleasing experience because it is a place where one feels part of the nature.

• Pantanos de Villa*****

Beautiful natural area unique in the city of Lima composed by marshes or humid lands, product of the outcrop of the underground water that comes from the Rímac river before it flows towards the sea.

The landscape is conformed by 396 hectares of dense totorales, beautiful lagoons and gramadales that protect the variety of flora and fauna. It refuges more than 150 species of birds of which 30 are migratory species originally from the North hemisphere, the Arctic Polar Circle, the Caribbean or the Patagonia. There are also native species of the altoandina zone of Peru from where we can mention the zambullidores, the herons, the flamenco, the ducks, the picaflores, the sparrows, the hawks among many others.

We will also find 70 species of aquatic, semi aquatic and terrestrial plants like salty grama, the totora, the rush among many others.

This important and beautiful natural refuge is part of the National System and Natural Areas protected of the State and it also constitutes an oasis in the middle of the typical asphalt landscape of the city.
